The new Common Core state standards have come up at recent TAGAC meetings and families have many questions. Dr. Matier, PPS' Director of Instruction, has briefly discussed connecting PPS' TAG services and acceleration policy to both the Common Core standards and Smarter Balanced testing as they roll out in our district.

Reminder - Nomination forms due tomorrow
IDPF forms to nominate your child for TAG testing are due to Alameda Nov. 15 - that's tomorrow (Friday).
There are forms on the TAG board in the front hall and also at this link. Scroll down to find the identification process forms in six languages.

TAGAC meeting this Tuesday
The TAGAC (district TAG advisory council) meeting is this Tues., 11/12 at 6:30p. at the Blanchard building, 501 N. Dixon.
On the agenda - district presentation on the new single-subject acceleration framework, appointment of new members and review of the new OMSI/Saturday Academy TAG enrichment budget menu.
