TAGAC Budget Recommendations Aim to Bring TAG Department into Compliance

The TAG parent Advisory Council (TAGAC) sent four recommendations to the School Board intended to bolster support for the PPS TAG Department in the 2016-2017 budget and help bring the department into compliance with state law.

The recommendations are:

• Change proctoring of universal second-grade TAG testing 
• Significantly increase professional development for TAG education 
• Provide central support for implementing the Single Subject Acceleration for Mathematics Policy
• Support K-8 teachers with curriculum extensions for accelerated learners
